With Shark Week well over, summer still is not. So have no fear as we near the end of summer days, when it comes to downing a fresh pint of Shark Attack. Having my first American Double Red Ale, I was hoppily surprised at the warm flavor Port Brewing Co. achieved with this year-round beer.
The Washdown:
- sweet malty backbone that's slightly more prominent than the hoppy bouquet, Shark Attack Double Red Ale (Port Brewing Co. in San Marcos, CA) 9% ABV
The fragrant aromatics certainly deliver a sharp bite. But the sweet caramel maltiness helps to tame this full-bodied beast.
